We are sorry to see you go! If you have decided to close your Walletix account, we want to ensure the process is as clear and secure as possible. Because Walletix is a regulated financial platform, deleting an account involves more than just clicking a button; it requires ensuring all your assets are safe and that we comply with legal standards.
Before You Delete Your Account:
- Withdraw Your Funds: Ensure your wallet balance is zero. Once an account is deleted, you will lose access to any remaining cryptocurrency. Please transfer your assets to an external wallet or sell them via our partners before proceeding.
- Download Your History: You may need your transaction history for future tax reporting. We recommend downloading your transaction logs from the app settings, as these will not be accessible after the account is closed.
How to Request Deletion:
To initiate the deletion of your account, please send a formal request from your registered email address to support@walletix.io. To verify your identity, our team may ask you to confirm your last transaction or provide a quick security selfie.

Data Retention (The 5-Year Rule):
It is important to understand that "deleting" an account does not mean all data is immediately erased from our servers. To comply with global Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and "Know Your Customer" (KYC) regulations, Walletix is legally required to retain certain records including your identity verification and transaction history for a period of five (5) years after the account is closed.

- This data is stored in a highly encrypted, "cold" offline state and is only accessible if required by law enforcement or financial regulators.
- After this 5-year period expires, your personal data will be permanently purged from our systems.
