When you buy crypto, you might notice the total value in your wallet is slightly less than the amount you spent. This is not a hidden charge by Walletix, but a result of how global crypto markets work. Your purchase total includes:
  • The Exchange Rate (Spread): The price of crypto changes every second. MoonPay provides a "locked-in" price that includes a small margin to cover market movements.
  • MoonPay Processing Fees: These are fees charged by our partner for facilitating the transaction and processing your payment.
  • Network Fees (Gas): Every time crypto moves on the blockchain, a "gas fee" must be paid to the network's validators. This fee is deducted from the total amount of crypto sent to your wallet.
  • Initial Volatility: If the market dips immediately after your purchase, your portfolio value will reflect that real-time decrease.
