Why is my transaction still pending?

Seeing a "Pending" status can be concerning, but it is usually a standard part of how blockchain networks and security systems operate. There are two main reasons why your transaction might not be completed yet:

1. Network Confirmations
Once a transaction is sent, it must be verified by "miners" or "validators" on the blockchain. Depending on the network congestion (especially for Bitcoin or Ethereum), this can take anywhere from a few minutes to over an hour. Walletix requires a specific number of confirmations to ensure the transaction is irreversible before updating your balance.
2. Fraud Detection & Security Reviews
To keep our ecosystem safe and comply with international anti-money laundering (AML) regulations, Walletix employs an advanced fraud detection system. Your transaction may be pended or frozen if:
  • Untraceable Sources: The incoming coins cannot be traced on-chain to a reputable source.
  • High-Risk Activity: Our system flags the transaction as potentially suspicious.
What happens if my transaction is frozen for security?
If our system determines that the funds are coming from an "unclean" or high-risk source, your account may be temporarily locked. In these cases, we may require a verification deposit from a regulated exchange (like Binance, Coinbase, or Kraken) or proof of a clean source of funds. Once the source is verified and the risk is cleared, your transaction will be successful, and your account will be unlocked.
What should I do?
  • Wait for Confirmations: Check a block explorer to see if the network is simply busy.
  • Check your Email: If our fraud system has flagged your transaction, you will receive instructions on the next steps for verification.
  • Contact Support: If your transaction has been pending for more than 5 hours, reach out to us via the tawk.to chat.
