To receive cryptocurrency from another person or an external platform, you need a Wallet Address. Think of this like your bank account number or an email address it tells the network exactly where to send your funds.
Since Walletix is a custodial wallet, we generate and manage these unique addresses for you across various blockchains.
How to find your address in the app:
- Select your Asset: Open your Walletix app and tap on the specific cryptocurrency you want to receive (e.g., Bitcoin, Ethereum, or USDT).
- Tap 'Receive': On the asset screen, look for the Receive button.
- Copy or Scan: Your unique wallet address will appear as a long string of alphanumeric characters (e.g., 0x71C... or bc1q...). You can:
- Tap the Copy icon to share it via text or email.
- Show the QR Code to the sender so they can scan it directly.
Important Security Tips:
- Check the Network: Ensure the sender is using the correct network. For example, only send Bitcoin to a Bitcoin address. Sending funds to the wrong network may result in a permanent loss.
- Avoid Manual Typing: Wallet addresses are long and complex. Always use the Copy button to avoid typos.
- One Address per Asset: Each type of cryptocurrency has its own unique address. Do not send Ethereum to a Bitcoin address.
