Why is my crypto deposit pending?

Differentiating between network delays and Walletix security reviews.

If your deposit is marked as "Pending," it usually falls into one of two categories:

1. Awaiting Network Confirmation:
As mentioned in our Bitcoin guide, every blockchain requires a certain number of "votes" from the network to prove a transaction is real. Until that number is reached, Walletix holds the funds in a pending state to protect your account.
2. Security & Fraud Detection:
In some cases, your deposit may be held for a manual review by our security team. This happens if:
  • Risk Flags: The incoming funds are originating from a "High Risk" or "Dark Web" source that cannot be traced to a clean origin.
  • Large Amounts: Exceptionally large or unusual deposits may trigger a temporary hold for your protection until we verify the source.
  • KYC Requirements: If your account hasn't completed full identity verification, certain deposit limits may apply.
What to do?
If your deposit has been pending for more than 24 hours, please check your email for any instructions from our compliance team. If you haven't received an email, reach out to us at support@walletix.io with your transaction details.
