How long does it take for my crypto to arrive?

When you purchase cryptocurrency through the Walletix and MoonPay integration, the delivery of your assets is not instantaneous. The process involves several layers of verification—from your bank to the blockchain itself. Generally, most transactions are completed within 10 to 30 minutes, but several factors can extend this window.
The Lifecycle of Your Purchase:
  1. Payment Authorization (1–5 Minutes): Once you click "Pay," your bank or card issuer must authorize the funds. If your bank requires 3D Secure (a code sent to your phone), the clock doesn't start until you enter that code.
  2. MoonPay Internal Review (5–20 Minutes): MoonPay runs an automated security check on every transaction. If this is your first purchase, or if you are buying a large amount, they may flag the transaction for a "Manual Review." You will usually receive an email if they need more information from you.
  3. On-Chain Transfer (Variable): Once MoonPay approves the payment, they broadcast your transaction to the blockchain. This is where the "Network Confirmation" stage begins.
    • Bitcoin (BTC): Typically takes 10–60 minutes as it requires multiple confirmations.
    • Ethereum (ETH) & Stablecoins: Usually arrive within 5–15 minutes.
    • Solana or Polygon: Often arrive in under 2 minutes.
Why is my delivery delayed?
  • Network Congestion: If millions of people are using the blockchain at the same time, "traffic jams" occur. Your crypto is safe, but it has to wait in line to be processed by miners.
  • Verification Holds: If MoonPay's system flags your ID or payment method, the delivery will be "Pending" until you clear their requirements. Check your inbox for any emails from support@moonpay.com.
  • Bank Holds: Sometimes a bank will show the money as "gone" from your account, but they haven't actually released it to MoonPay yet. This is common with weekend purchases or international transfers.
What should I do if it’s been over an hour?
  1. Check MoonPay Tracker: MoonPay provides a tracking link in your confirmation email. Click it to see exactly which stage your order is in (e.g., "Verifying," "Processing," or "Delivered").
  2. Verify the Address: Go back to your Walletix app and ensure the address you pasted into MoonPay matches your current receive address.
  3. Contact Support: If the MoonPay tracker says "Delivered" but you do not see the balance in Walletix after refreshing, please email us at support@walletix.io with your transaction ID.
