Before you begin, please ensure you have the following ready:

• A Valid Government ID: We accept Passports, Driver’s Licenses, and National IDs (including NIN for Nigerian users).
• Your Information: Full legal name, date of birth, residential address, and your National ID or SSN (for US-based users).
• A Smartphone: You will need to take a live selfie during the process.

1. Enter Personal Details

Start by filling out your profile. Ensure the name you enter matches your ID exactly. Even small spelling differences or using a nickname can cause the system to flag your application.

2. Upload Your ID Document

Select your country and the type of document you are using.

• Tip: Place your ID on a flat, dark surface with good lighting. Avoid using a camera flash, as the glare can hide important details.
• For US Users: You will be asked to provide your Social Security Number (SSN) for tax and compliance reporting.
• For Other Users: You can use your DRIVERS LICENSE or INTERNATIONAL PASSWORD for a faster verification match.

3. The Liveness Check (Selfie)

Our system will ask you to take a "liveness" selfie. This confirms that you are a real person and matches your face to the photo on your ID.

• Keep your face within the frame.
• Remove any hats, glasses, or masks.
• Ensure the background is neutral and well-lit.

Why is my verification pending?

Most verifications are processed within minutes, but some can take up to 24 hours if a manual review is required. Common reasons for delays include:

• Blurry Images: If the text on your ID isn't legible, our AI cannot verify it.
• Expired Documents: Please ensure your ID has not expired.
• Mismatched Info: Your Walletix profile name must match the name on your government ID.
